LLC “Opillia Engineering”: from brewery modernization to a modern manufacturer of equipment for the food industry

Recently, the director and co-founder of the media group “Technologies and Innovations” Nadiya Yashchuk, visited the Brewery “Opillia” to see with her own eyes the results of a large-scale modernization of the enterprise. Over the past ten years, the company has come a long way: from a regional beverage manufacturer to a powerful engineering and production complex, based on which a separate company was created – LLC “Opillia Engineering”.

How the engineering direction was formed

The impetus for the creation of a new direction was the comprehensive modernization of its own production. Initially, it was about updating individual equipment, but later the company moved on to a complete rethinking and improvement of production processes. The work covered not only individual production units or technological lines, but the entire production system as a whole.

As part of the modernization, the team introduced new equipment, improved technological processes, worked on increasing energy efficiency and automating production. The accumulated practical experience became the basis for the development of its own engineering solutions and the subsequent creation of a separate company.

In 2025, the engineering direction was separated into an independent structure – Opillia Engineering LLC. Today, the company specializes in the development and manufacture of complex technological equipment for the food industry.

“During the modernization, we looked at production as a single system. Most of the solutions that we offer to food industry enterprises today were initially implemented and tested at our own production facilities,” notes the company’s director, Yevgeny Blokhin.

Modernization of production and development of capacities

During the reconstruction of the enterprise, the production infrastructure was significantly updated. More than 6,000 m³ of technological equipment were installed on the site, dozens of kilometers of pipelines were laid and modern technological solutions were implemented. As a result, this allowed reducing resource consumption by approximately 35–40%.

Special attention was paid to the stability of production processes and the rational use of energy. Work on our own production made it possible to develop practical engineering solutions that are currently used at food industry enterprises.

In 2025, Opillia Engineering LLC launched a new production base featuring a ​​3,000 m² assembly shop. All production facilities are certified according to the ISO 9001 standard and meet the requirements for the manufacture of pressure equipment.

Equipment for the food industry

Today, the company manufactures a wide range of technological equipment for food industry enterprises. The main emphasis is on the practicality of solutions, their reliability, and the possibility of integration into the customer’s existing production processes.

Among the main areas of activity:

  • capacity equipment;
  • filtration systems;
  • equipment for thermal processing of products;
  • product preparation systems;
  • auxiliary technological equipment.

One of the key areas of work remains the production of capacity equipment. The company designs and manufactures tanks of various volumes for the needs of food production. Each tank is developed taking into account the features of a specific technological process, the required equipment and operating conditions of the enterprise.

Filtration systems and technological equipment

The company produces membrane filters and membrane filtration systems used for cleaning and stabilizing food products. Such solutions help maintain stable product quality and make production processes more efficient.

For enterprises engaged in the production of beverages, Opillia Engineering LLC offers comprehensive technological solutions that are selected for specific conditions and production features.

One of the key elements of the lines is a pasteurizer – equipment for heat treatment of the product, which ensures the stability of its quality. A separate direction is equipment for removing oxygen from liquids. For this purpose, a deaerator is manufactured, which is used in various technological processes of the food industry.

The company also produces fermenters, mixers, automated washing systems and comprehensive solutions for food production.

Comprehensive approach to production processes

One of the characteristic features of the work of Opillia Engineering LLC is precisely the comprehensive approach to project implementation. The company is not limited to the supply of equipment, but works with the entire technological chain of the enterprise: starting with the analysis of what exactly the customer needs, and ending with how this equipment will be integrated into an existing or new production process.

This format of work allows you to immediately take into account the real conditions of a particular production, rather than abstract solutions. This helps to better balance the load on the system, avoid “bottlenecks” in technological lines and generally ensure more stable operation of the equipment in the long term.

Separately, the company emphasizes that one of the most important development factors is the practical experience gained during the modernization of its own production. These are not theoretical approaches, but solutions that have been tested in real operating conditions. It is this experience that became the basis for engineering developments that are used today at food industry enterprises.
